an honest

tale WITH HEART.

This is a personal lifestyle blog about my life and other fascinating women I’ve met along my journey. I’m a thirty-something woman living in the city, running her own photography business, raising a son, married to a traveling musician, and drinking way too much coffee.

 My Work

WHEN MOTHERHOOD TOOK ON A WHOLE OTHER MEANING

Being a mom has deeply affected my photography when it comes to working with mamas, and with families. I’ve always wanted things to be documented in the most honest of ways. But becoming a mother, it’s given me a whole new insight into being a parent, being a mother and what's important to document & remember for always.

ABOUT

SCARLET O’NEILL

This blog started when I was pregnant and this new person was being born. Becoming a mother was like this whole new version of myself.

When I met my son, my life changed. My heart grew a million sizes. But, I also experienced a motherhood I didn’t hear much about, one that had more hard days in the beginning than good.

Isolation, heartbreak and darkness became a lot of my story. In being honest, I soon found that my story wasn’t uncommon and that in sharing my story, I was helping others feel less alone. I also felt less alone, and less scared in this new journey. I was finding my place in motherhood that was inviting, healing and good.

A lot of this lifestyle blog is to honour those other woman, their stories of motherhood and also the stories of strong women that make this world a better place for us all. Together, we got this.
